Black Panther Bearings
Black Panther bearings are by Shorty’s Inc., the same producers of Shorty’s Skateboards. Black Panther’s boast an ultra smooth ride and come in Abec 3, Abec 5 and Abec 7 ratings. Ever set of Black Panther bearings come with a set of four speed washers and four spacers and a Black Panther bearings sticker. All Black Panther bearings are reasonably priced.
Black Panther bearings are a common inventory item in most skateboard shops around the word. Again, we recommend the Shorty’s Black Panther Abec 5 bearings because of the moderate pricing and the benefits of the Abec 5 rating. Abec 5 skateboard bearings are fast enough for street skateboard, yet are stronger than Abec 7 bearings (and cheaper too).
Black Panther bearings have crowns/cages to keep the balls evenly spaced in the bearing races. This is helpful for even load distribution both axially and vertically. Black Panther bearings are lubricated with oil. As far as Black Panther bearing design goes, they are a fairly typical bearing design. Aside from the addition of the derlin crown/cage, they are a pretty basic bearing.
