Consolidated Daredevil Filters Skateboard Bearings

The first tip about Consolidated Filters came from a friend. He said he was riding these Consolidated bearings and they just wouldn't give up. He eventually changed them out for some other bearings simply because he got new bearings for free and just felt like swapping them, eventhough the Consolidated bearings were still fine. I think he still has them to this day sitting in his garage waiting to be used.

So why are these bearings so awesome? Legend has it that the pourous shield on the outside of the bearing allows particles to escape from the bearing races. That's the one thing about skate bearings is that they are always in a dirty environment. They get all sorts of junk trapped inside the bearing parts which eventually leads to bearing destruction.

These bearings must also be made extremely well to handle regular skateboarding loads. From what it sounds like, these bearings not only clean themselves, they also are very durable.
