Element Skateboards has had a long history of being a dominant brand in skateboarding. Element was started in the mid 1990s by Johnny Schilleriff. The key to their success at first was their awesome committment to making some of the best skateboard decks around. It was pretty clear to skateboarders in the 1990s that if you got an Element deck you were pretty sure that you would be riding a solid board for a few months.

On to the bearings. As Element grew in size and popularity, so did their product line. Naturally, Element began releasing different types of skateboard bearings. Currently there are ten types of bearings sets to choose from. They are: Brent Atchley Pro Swiss Bearings, Element Swiss Bearings, Brent Atchley Pro Bearings, Element Black Bearings, Black and White Bearings, Trinity Bearings, Thriftwood Bearings, Thriftwood Black Bearings, Mike V. Lightning Bearings and Muska Bearings.

Element bearings seem to be a good choice for beginners or as a simple gift to a skateboarder. They are also good for color coordinating a skateboard if that is what you want to do.
