Girl Skateboards has been making Girl Bearings for quite a while now. These bearings a certainly a price point bearing. You will probably find these bearings in Girl Complete packages, including Royal Trucks and some Girl Wheels (most likely 52mm). Girl "Blue" bearings come in ABEC 3. This is the most commonly available set by Girl. Girl Gold Bearings are just called "precision", which means they might be an attempt to replicate Bone Reds (no known abec rating).

My favorite bearing brand would probably be Girl because I've gone through a couple of pairs of them, and they've lasted me a good amount of time. They cost around $14.00 dollars which shows that they're not really expensive. They are durable, and each pair of them lasted me for about 3-6 months. At times they made my wheels move slowly, but I used speed gel which helped a lot. I've also noticed that not a lot of skate stores sell Girl Bearings, but don't be fooled! Girl Bearings are swift and great for skating or scootering!

As an amateur skater who's been skating for about 2 years, I've tested a lot of different bearings on my board, and although some brands worked a little better then Girl, they were far more expensive ($25-$45), and since being I only skate for fun, I feel that Girl does a fine job for the price I pay. For example; many kids my age (13) shop at an online skate warehouse called CCS, which has tons of different types of hardware. There most expensive bearing is the Bone Swiss Ceramic Bearing which costs $99.99!-and if you ask me, I think that price is completely unreasonable. Who in the world would want to buy 100 dollar bearings when they could just go out and get bearings for only ten dollars!?! Okay, so they may not be as good as the Bone Swiss Ceramics, but they're 1/8 the price!

So that is why Girl Bearings are my favorite. They are great, durable, and reasonably priced. Plus, they have a gold color, which makes them look cool. So my recommendation to any young skater who is looking for bearings is to definitely buy Girl Bearings, or at least get a set that costs lest then $20.
