My favorite bearings are rockin rons speed bearings out of california. im not sure if you guys carry them but they are QUICK! the company is somewhat unknown but having experience running a skateshop before i like to deal with the littler guys and they have really good customer service. the bearings last forever and you very rarely have to clean them. when you do, the shileds pop off real easy, drop them in some carb cleaner and they are ready to go. also, rockin ron has some bearing lube that helps the bearings alot. I think for the price they cant be beat. some other companies like bones have the swiss and ive ridden both and ill have to say for twenty dollars cheaper id take the rockin rons anyday. they now make a set of ceramics that i have not tried yet but i believe they run about sixty dollars. the bearings are more widely known in the older bowl skating circle but they are starting to surface more. me personally, i skate more vert and transition so i wouldnt really know how they hold up to street abuse. however, like i have said before if you are looking for some extra speed in the bowls or what have you these are the bearings to get. my first pair i got for christmas about two years ago and i am still using them today. i would compare them to the bargain you get with bones reds. i mean you cant beat reds for the fifteen dollars they cost BUT they arent the abolute fastest. these rockin ron bearings arew some of the fastest, non ceramics, and for the money cannot be beat. if you take good care of these bearings and clean them regularly they should never really lock up or slow down. keeping them clean also keeps them pretty quiet which i think is pretty cool as opposed to poppin the shields off like some people do. anyways, thats my review on rockin rons bearings and why i like them the best.
