Speed Demon bearings have been around for at least ten years now. They are an offshoot of the World Industries / Dwindle product line up. Speed Demons are really inexpensive and they are pretty good bearings. A fresh set of Speed Demon bearings offers a pretty good ride.

Speed Demons come in ABEC 3, ABEC 5 and ABEC 7 ratings. I believe the ABEC 7's have both "greased" and "oiled" versions which is commonly overlooked. Greases are usually thick and provide a very frictionless spin. It seems to me that they would attract dirt more. Oils are thin and provide excellent lubrication at a microscopic level. The downside to oils are that they are thin so they may dissipate faster.

My recommendation is to get ABEC 5 Speed Demon bearings. They will probably last the longest; they are not as expensive as ABEC 7s (actually ABEC 5 Speed Demon bearings are really cheap) and they spin fast enough. For the intermediate street skater, they are probably comparable to Bones Reds bearings.

A strange note about Speed Demons bearings is that Speed Demons bearings doesn't have a skate team that we know of and they tend not to advertise in magazine. Yet you can find Speed Demons bearings in almost every skate shop across the world. This has to do with the enormous influence Dwindle Distribution has on the skateboarding world.

Speed Demon also makes a line of skateboard wheels and skateboard deck. Speed Demon is a price point brand; however the quality is up to par. They have a wide range of wheels sizes, 50mm to 58mm (maybe even higher). As for skateboards they make almost every street deck size imaginable and they have been making pool, old school and 70's decks lately at a very affordable price.

SPEED DEMONS ABEC 3 BEARINGS REVIEW. I WOULD RECOMMEND THESE BEARINGS BECAUSE. THESE BEARING ARE A GOOD BRAND LAST ME FOR 2 YEARS. THEY ARE FOR ANY SKATER THAT WANTS SPEED AND IS NOT AFRAID OF SPEED AND THEY ALSO FIT ALMOST ANY WHEELS And if you go through water for some weird reason they did not seem to rust At all and they just cost around 10 20 bucks and just about any skate shop sells them that's why I would recommended these bearings to any street or vert skaters but if you are freestyle you should not buy them because they are made for speed like its name "SPEED"DEMONS So if your like me and all you think about speed through the day I would strongly recommend these bearings these are the only bearings I ride and if you ride longboards and like to go downhill like at 40 mile per hour get these they are made for longboarders and that is what I think about these bearings

I believe the best bearings that I have ever ridden are the speed demons because they are so freaking fast and that they are so durable and I've riding different bearing not putting any down because everyone has their own opinion on their skate material and this is just from my standing point vie riding them in the rain and they dint stiffen up like some do may be I just give them a ill care every once in a while so I don't go through many of them I've probably have bought about seven pairs of the speed demons in my life time and I have really felt like these bearings have made improvements I fell the roads more their just a whole lot smoother and so this is just some of the reasons and now that speed demons are the best I like to keep my bearing in the refrigerator just bout like my wheels and I don't know why may be it is a habit because I put the whole bag in and I forget but ,My speed demon I don't have no problems with the shields falling off or breaking them I just change them when I want to get more and I usually ride them for about a year maybe that's just me but I don't have problems out of them their never get stiff either may be cause I use the lube on them that don't let them get stiff so if you want quality then I believe that the best freaking bearings are the speed demons and I don't think that I would ride any thing else unless I didn't have the money to buy the speed demons ,so this is would be my bearing that I would rank as my number one choice to ride .
